Detailed information
1 INVITATION VIA MAIL
The most common is that you receive the invitation link in an email, but it can also be found in other ways, e.g. on a web page. See a picture of what it might look like in an email.
Click "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" to join the meeting.
You can connect before the meeting, e.g. to check that it is possible to connect, but do not expect anyone else to be there then. Its like walking into an empty room before the meeting starts.
2 SELECT USE THE BROWSER
This is what it might look like when you click connect to the meeting and have no Teams app installed.
Then you must choose - You can download the app and connect with it, or connect to the meeting with Teams-web (no installation required then)
The Teams web connection is almost as good as the Teams app.
Sometimes you may have the Teams app installed, but the system failed to start it, so you can try start it again.
3 SWITCH ON THE MICROPHONE
When you connect for the first time and use Teams in the browser, you may have to agree for Teams to use your webcam and microphone.
4 ENTER YOUR NAME
Then you should write your name, so that everyone else in the same meeting knows who is in the meeting.
Enter your name and click Connect Now.
You can choose to have the microphone on or off, and the webcam on or off. You can change this inside the meeting as well.
5 WAITING IN THE LOBBY
In many cases, someone has to approve that you are allowed to join, so just sit and wait until someone lets you in.
6 IN THE MEETING
Move the mouse over the background and a menu will appear.
There you can turn off your microphone and hang up (exit) and a lot more.
The SHARE button makes it possible to share your screen in the meeting.
